Walk down any street or alley-way in Havana, the capital of Cuba, and the beautiful architecture of the doors, alleys and buildings sing with stunning blue, green, pink Caribbean colors. The design details and textures of the exterior weathered wood speak volumes about its rich history.
A little know fact is that at the beginning of the 20th century, the Cuban capital was spectacularly rich, not unlike Newports Gilded Age, in which Havana underwent an extraordinary architectural boom period with influences from art nouveau, and art deco to Spanish colonial and eclectic design.
