In this image, and entire wall is covered with an astonishing number of colorful tiles. The artist has created a huge fish, a rooster and so many intricate details there's not space enough to name them all! A visual delight!
In Cuba, not far from downtown Havana is the unassuming village of Jaimanitas and the architectural delight called 'Fusterlandia', the brain child of celebrated Cuban artist Jose Rodriguez Fuster . Inspired by time in Europe and public architecture projects like Gaudi’s Park Güell, Fuster went back to his impoverished coastal town in 1975 to begin an art project where he converted his own home into an art museum by adorning it with mosaic tiles.
His neighbours in the community were so attracted by the colorful murals that they gave up their homes to Fuster, so that he could expand the project. Before long, they began to contribute,...
