Maple Leaf Nature 5 Macro was in full Autumn color when I collected it and brought it inside to photograph. By back-lighting the image with natural light, isolating the leaf and using a Macro lens, the Image Art details in the leaf veins and stem stand out against the white background. Though the autumn colors of the Maple Leaf are lovely, I believe Black & White brings out the details.
There are 12 species of Maple Tree in Nature and each one displays unique characteristics. Assigning which family a Maple belongs to can be achieved by examining the pattern of the leaves, the way it branches and the seeds.

Wonderful work! Superb detail and love the sepia color you've picked to do this series with.

Beautiful work. Love that it functions just as well abstractly and just love the edge treatement!
