Smoke On Turquoise Lake Colorado by Jo Ann Tomaselli
The Turquoise Lake Recreation Area in the Isabel National Forest, Colorado, sits at an elevation of close to 10,000 feet and is just outside of Leadville, Colorado. If your interested in visiting this area, recreation facilities consist of 8 campgrounds, accommodating 300 campsites and 2 boat-launching ramps. Surface available for recreation includes 780 acres. Primary recreation activities include camping and fishing.
Early morning, before the sun reaches above the mountain tops, the temperature difference between the water and land varies drastically creating mist and fog. Foggy sunrise landscapes are my favorite scenes to photograph. Add rocks, mountains, water & reflection, render it in black&white, and the resulting image presents a new type of tranquil wilderness!
