GHOST TREES by Jo Ann Tomaselli
The forest of childhood nightmares. Have you ever encountered a craggy nature landscape that feels it has come to life off the pages of a Grimm Brothers Fairytale? I was in Alachua Florida and decided to venture out to Ginny Springs on an overcast winter day. All of the cypress trees along the river were probably in hibernation but they looked like they'd been dead for years. The Spanish moss, caught up in the spindly branches and blowing gently in the wind were reminiscent of ghostly shadows. Visions of all the scary bedtime stories that featured forests ran through my head as I composed this image. Even with this dreary idea in my head, this image offers hope in the thin strip of green moss contrasting against the white woods. Great job with the trees--you did great with those, mission accomplished they are indeed ghostly. I like what you did with selective coloring too. This looks like an old wizard standing among the trees from a distance....er uh or at least that's what I saw initially. I've been teased before on here about what I see in things-- like an Inkblot test-- so I won't say another word ;-) Voted/Fave -PAMELA

I think this forest might just house the big bad wolf ~ thanks for stopping by Kylie!
