LAYERS - CityScape by Jo Ann Tomaselli
Havana, Cuba is a city stuck in time - at least for now. Walking the streets, this amazing city revealed its charms in rusted ironwork fences, peeling paint and pockmarked building faces. Every turn presented stunning visuals and I found myself wishing for an extended visit.
With the recent influx of American tourism, the major city squares are undergoing a facelift. Paint and plaster are welcome but it was sad to see 2 major clothing companies had opened shop in the last 6 months in downtown Havana. I'm happy I had the opportunity to see this glorious city now as change is sure to continue to this preserved area.
I am a North Carolina based Fine Art Photographer specializing in Landscape, Nature and Travel Photography.
