Description
Buddhist Statue B by Jo Ann Tomaselli
Theravada Buddhism is primarily practiced in southeast Asia. Buddha is a title as opposed to a name and means the enlightened or awakened one. This image, as well as the others in this series, was taken inside a temple in Laos.

I'm so glad you framed this with all of the statues visible instead of the regular take most would do - just the Buddha's head up close. Very nice indeed!

The sheer variety of these and the splash of intermittent color from the sashes makes this an intriguing capture, Jo Ann!

The way that you've composed this, makes it! Great use of the colors and the natural light glow!
